Chewed to the Bone

The clock blinks for me to give it time

The food whines to be eaten

Before it spoils

The laundry breaks my silence of coping

The cereal bowls stare cold

And all I got

Rolling in my mouth

Is a pencil chewed

To the

Bone

Years just scream to be finished

The past just screams the same

And life’s little list of bad decisions are

Starting to ebb

Are starting to fade

And days become in sync with dying

Electricity in sync with life

And my whole worth as a person

Lies with me not forgetting to

Change a burnt out light bulb…

The table is unsteady wont hold a thing

The windows in the kitchen don’t budge

The garbage disposal is broke like me

The drapes are eschewed

They’re falling down

And all I got

Rolling in my mouth

Is a pencil chewed

To the

Bone
